Gypsy Lantern – craft diy project
Cute idea at One Hour Craft – making up a lantern re-using simple materials like glass jar, fabric, and a diy tutorial. How much easier can it get! She puts some great tutorials on her blog, another link I will be adding to my blogroll.

Return to Victory Gardens!
Plug for a fun diy network at ReadyMade and I will be adding the link to my blogroll. And I gotta love this, cause ReadyMade has an article on Victory Gardens – which is something close to my heart. With this most recent Iraq war, and 2 in our family who have deployed to Iraq, and really not much on the homefront going on that would be indicative of a nation at war except political arguing using the troops as a political football issue to toss back and forth, I’m all for Victory Gardens on the order of WW l and WW ll.

Poor Man’s Stained Glass
Ahh, good idea for re-using bubble wrap – poor man’s stained glass. An idea at ReadyMade blog and kind of clever re-use of packing material.

Earring holder – re-use netting of apple or onion bags
I see this idea repeated in many places, making a card holder or photo holder or keepsake holder using ribbons stretched criss-cross across fabric attached to board. Smaller version of the idea is to use an old photo frame and criss cross ribbons across the surface but another version is to stretch netting from re-used onion or apple bag to make an earring holder. Your stud and dangle stud earrings will work as well as the hook type earring.
Since you are using a photo frame, why not have a favorite photo, stretch the nylon across and create several personalized photo earring holders.
